I wouldn’t throw around the word “favorite” without really meaning it, but… This is my favorite hydration pack I’ve ever tested!
The Orange Mud Endurance Pack is the perfect combination of useful, comfortable and awesome.
I’ve been using the Endurance pack during July and August as I trained for my triathlon. I took to the trails often (as my triathlon run was mostly on packed gravel), so having hydration with me in the woods was my number one priority. Thankfully, this pack came into my life at just the right time.
And not only for runs! I also took my Endurance Pack out onto the roads for my cycling sessions and long rides on the bike. Having this pack on my back was crucial to getting me through training and prepared for my tri.
I haven’t taken this little puppy hiking yet, but I’m sure it will be just as useful and awesome on the vertical trails as it’s been for me on the road and flat trails.
The pack uses “highly breathable and durable mesh” to keep it from sticking to your back as the sweat pours off you. I did have some condensation water come through the back of the pack when it got really sweltering outside, but it was a welcome cooling sensation!
The bladder that comes with the pack is awesome. It’s so easy to fill, close, use — and especially clean. The hose was a little long for me, as is the design, so you can just trim it to the length needed for you, which was great.
Running and riding, the most important part of a hydration pack is the fit, and this thing stays snug and comfortable. I wore it with a tank top / singlet-style shirt on most runs and had no issues with chafing, rubbing or anything of the sort. I was really thrilled with that, as I’ve run into that problem on lesser packs.
In short, this pack is my new favorite running buddy. Fill it up, throw it on and out the door you go… Quick, easy, simple. It gets the job done.
